Hazel Gap Barn is flanked by two unusual watch towers which create a dramatic entrance for guests, this beautiful red brick events barn is set on the Welbeck Estate in Nottinghamshire. The barn was transformed by Cripps & Co, a family-run business with more than 25 years experience restoring barns and hosting events.
The main barn features traditional oak timber and elegant arches, a large fireplace, fairy lights and giant candelabra creating the most incredible space for a all types of events and parties. Our light-filled Oak Room has views over the gardens and woodland on one side and a bar that spills out onto the courtyard. Here, guests can feast in style. Our in-house chefs flame-grill food over a giant BBQ and rotisserie. We buy the best, cook it simply and serve it generously. The Oak Room accommodates 150 seated guests. Surrounded by the barn buildings, the Hazel Gap courtyard is sheltered and peaceful, with a fountain, mulberry trees, seating and planters. At night the courtyard is lit up with fairy lights, fire pits and lanterns. Whether you’re planning a lively party, a corporate gathering, or a special event, our dedicated on-site team is here to help make it unforgettable. Its 4 weeks today since our incredible wedding at Hazel Gap Barn, I wish we could re live the day and do it all over again! As soon as we went to look round the venue, we knew this was where we wanted to get married, we had only been to look at one other venue, Hazel Gap won hands down and we booked our wedding there and then. The venue is absolutly stunning, everything about it is perfect, the ceremony/disco barn is out of this world beautiful, the courtyard and gardens provide so much space for guests and meant that everyone isnt crammed into one area. We didnt go to town on decorating the venue as it just doesnt need any dressing up. We can not praise the staff enough either, the whole process from booking to the big day was so easy, and nothing was too much trouble, even the very last minute changes! They worked so hard on the day, it couldnt have ran any smoother. The food was amazing, we have had so many of our guests comment on how nice the meal was, one commenting it was the best chicken he had ever had! We have also had many of our friends/family tell us that it was one of the best, if not the best wedding they have been to. Another positive I want to mention is that the morning after the wedding, I received an email to tell me that they had processed a refund for the unopened wine and the deposit paid, this was on its way to my bank. To say myself and my Husband were a little tipsy is an understatement, we would never have known what had been drank and what hadnt. I found this really honest of the staff/team and imagine you wouldnt get this service at some venues! Hazel Gap in our opinion is the venue to have your wedding at, we are so glad we chose here. Im really hoping that someone we know gets married there in the near future so we can go back! Lots of love and thank you for everything, Mr & Mrs Clark 🤍🤍

I've been photographing weddings at Hazel Gap Barn since the first year it's opened. And it is without a doubt one of my favourite venues. Not only is it a stunningly gorgeous place, the food is simple incredible! I've probably sampled the entire menu and despite the fact I'm a meat eater, even the vegan menu is very tasty! The staff are always friendly and you can tell they enjoy their jobs. This is in contrast to some other places where you really get a sense the staff don't enjoy their jobs. You can tell as staff turnover is very low and I'm working with pretty much the same team as was there at the start years ago. I've photographed here in all seasons and have to say that I do love a good winter wedding here. The barn looks incredible when it's all lit up in the evening with candles. Something you won't see in the summer since you'll be partying hard by the time it's dark. The barn is a great place to use if it's raining outside, meaning no matter the weather you'll be guaranteed great photos. The heated floor means the barn is cosy even in the coldest winter. The woods at the back are nice to use for a bit of variation and if you are getting married between late March to early May, you may even see lots of bluebells too. In short, if you want to get married at a venue which is visually stunning, have great food and friendly staff then Hazel Gap Barn should be at the top of your list!

Wow, we were blown away with Hazel Gap Barn. Everything from the first visit to after our wedding was flawless. The venue itself is beautiful, yet it’s the way everything runs which makes this the venue to book. No stress, amazing food, attention to detail. So many of our guests said it was the best venue they’d been to. Thanks to all the Hazel Gap Team! (Photos by Eve Hopkinson - recommended by Hazel Gap Barn)

I love filming weddings at HGB! Honoured to be a recommended videographer too - Whether the weather be glorious sunshine or a rainy day, Hazel Gap is a beautiful place to be! - Hitched Productions

My wife and I got married at Hazel Gap Barn in July and we are so happy with our decision! The venue itself is lovely and was able to fit our large guest list (of about 150). The staff at the venue helped with preparation and answered any questions we had on the months running up within a few hours. Everyone on the day was helpful, friendly, and organised. We also got many compliments on the delicious food! It is pricey, but overall would definitely recommend.
