Set within the beautiful grounds of Canterbury Cathedral, a UNESCO designated World Heritage Site, in the heart of the City of Canterbury, Kent. The Cathedral Lodge offers brides a very special and truly unique wedding reception venue.
This wonderful venue caters for anything from a small intimate wedding breakfast in the Restaurant, to a sit down meal for up to 120 guests in the stunning Clagett Auditorium. Couples may choose to enjoy a drinks reception in the Kentish Barn, which enjoys wonderful views of the Cathedral from its large bay windows or alternatively the Campanile Garden is available for Summer drinks receptions and of course those very important photos.
Guests can stay overnight in one of the 35 well-appointed hotel bedrooms, with the majority enjoying stunning views of the Cathedral and gardens. All overnight guests receive a full English breakfast in the morning and entrance to Canterbury Cathedral throughout their stay. In line with the true ethos of the Cathedral, you will be assured a very warm welcome.

January 2025I really love capturing weddings inside the Canterbury Cathedral. The grounds are stunning for couple images and it is great intergrating the historic articture of the Cathedral into the photos. The staff are lovely and accommodating. I can't wait to return to Canterbury Cathedral for a wedding.

November 2024First time in Canterbury and this place was fantastic! Very clean, quiet and right next to the Cathedral. Cost of lighting included free access to the Cathedral as well as breakfast. Staff were so kind the whole of Canterbury proper at your footsteps.

January 2025Beautiful rooms in a tranquil setting. Situated right in the heart of Canterbury town centre, ideally situated for the Marlowe theatre, bars and restaurants are all to hand. The team at the Hotel are fabulous, very friendly and welcoming and the breakfast is superb!
