Ladies and gentlemen, we welcome you to the beautiful and most unconventional bar in Brighton Lanes.
Inspired by 1930s gin palaces and the steampunk movement, The Mesmerist is something of a love letter to the unique. Sourcing vintage decor and wares in an abundance, The Mesmerist is doused in indulgent prohibition tones, bottled trinkets and antiquarian flair. From 100 cover main party space and private hire dining room to a Berlin Bordello space, intimate Alchemist room and Hendrick's bar, this vintage bar in Brighton is brimming with eclectic event spaces.
Not only is it the decor that brings The Mesmerist to life, this slick venue boasts some of the most infamous parties in the city, just in case you fancy a little entertainment for your big day.

A beautifully decorated bar accessed through a secret doorway on the first floor (with lift/ramp access) the Birdcage is the perfect space for dining, drinks and private parties.

The large open plan space has plenty of natural daylight and it’s own bar. We can set up seating in a style that suits you, or remove some seating if you need space for a reception, networking or dancing.

RED DOG WAS AMAZING! So happy they have started here! Great portions and awesome Flavour !

The food was amazing, everything we ordered tasted great. The burnt end nuggets, nachos, and the giant onion rings were definite highlights. But the organisation wasn’t great, so it’s not the best spot for big groups. Our table wasn’t ready when we arrived, we had to move some seats/tables ourselves, they only took half the table’s drink order, they brought out too many of items and were missing a meal (however they did offer a free drink for the missing meal). It’s also a pretty loud place, so probably better for smaller groups or couples. The food is pricey, but the portions are huge, wish that was mentioned on the menu because we would’ve ordered less if we knew!

Would have been 10/10 but they use fake cheese on nachos, would have been better with no cheese at all. Otherwise it was lovely
