Syon House is the spectacular London home of the Duke of Northumberland. The house was built in the sixteenth century on the site of the Medieval Syon Abbey, and came to the family of the present owners in 1594. Syon has many layers of history and has seen some profound changes over the centuries
Away from the grandness of the Principal Floor, the Northumberland Room is situated on the ground floor of Syon House and benefits from level access, abundant natural light and comfortable private surroundings. In times gone by it would have been used as a servant dining hall. Now carpeted and heated, it can host up to 70 people theatre-style or between 10 and 30 guests boardroom-style. It features artefacts and pictures on the fascinating history of Northumberland House – not least a stunning marble fireplace. It has a wall mounted screen for presentations and good Wi-Fi access. Lunch can be served in the neighbouring Alnwick Room – or in summer, guests have the option to take lunch in the Colonnade or Inner Courtyard garden.

Syon house is a wonderful attraction. The tour guide takes 90 min. If you don't like long explanations book a day with free entry, but know that you might miss the knowledge ... Up to you. It's beautiful anyway and don't miss the gardens. Give yourself 2.5 hours and enjoy.
