October 2024The Clarendon Hotel was fantastic it had character rooms were actually really nice the bed was really comfortable and I slept really well. We had tea and coffee. The shower was very nice, although I did let them know that I had the shower door didn't close properly. I think it was a new shower door. The staff were very, very welcoming, friendly, willing to help anything you needed. To be honest with you, I met the lovely manager of the hotel and I shook his hand. Very nice gentleman. Sorry if I can't remember your name but the stay there was just absolutely wonderful. The breakfast was wonderful. The service was wonderful. Do anything for me as a disabled person. There are quite a few stairs like going to the room. There was a few steps but I could manage just those out in the lobby. I would have to go downstairs to the toilet so unfortunately doesn't help a disabled person. So I'm not sure if it's suitable for someone in a wheelchair. Although they do have a lift they may have disabled rooms. I didn't ask so that's my fault for not asking. I would love to come and stay here again. I especially as my husband stayed there while I was having surgery at kings College hospital and it's not far from the cable car to take you over to the XL so if you have anything at the Excel was fantastic. Taxi wasn't expensive so if you wanted a taxi I think the taxing to London cost me 32 lb. So pretty good really. But I just like to say thank you to the staff because I had a lovely stay with my friends as we were going to a convention at the XL. I'll definitely be staying here again and thank you to the lovely lady and gentleman at the reception desk who done everything they could to help us and even upgraded our room which was lovely. It was so nice to have a treat of an upgrade, so hopefully I'd like to see them over Christmas and the new year to bring my husband up there for a nice special time in London. Once again thank you to all the staff including the people that make the breakfast and the cleaners. It was just a wonderful stay

December 2024We had our annual Christmas lunch this week and there was 11 of us. We have been for a few years now. This time was the best! Instead of buying in the main restaurant we were in the side bar area, this was much better. There was a maitre'd this year to show you to the table, this elevates the restaurant to smart London places in my opinion. The food (main menu) was good for choices and I had a Shuksana( spelling ?) starter which was fantastic. Very brave to put this on as well as the traditional soup and prawn choices. I was so pleased I got the ingredients and made it myself yesterday. All courses were enjoyed by everyone. The service was quick and friendly. Plus excellent value. All round a lovely afternoon. Thank you Clarendon Hotel.

November 2024It's not a fancy hotel, but it's just right! It was close to everywhere I needed to be, clean, excellent service, helpful staff, and quiet. The included breakfast was good. It's where I will want to stay next time I'm in Greenwich.

October 2024Nice room, breakfast very good with friendly and helpful staff in the restaurant and at reception. Excellent location on the edge of Blackheath, so easy access to the heath and Greenwich Park, plus local shops and restaurants. Our room was a little warmer than we liked for sleeping, and we found it difficult to lower. Breakfast finished at 9:30 on a weekday, which as a little early for us. But we still enjoyed our visit and would stay here again.
