Have just booked in & upon arrival Was greeted by reception very warmly( reason for stay is a private function) ordered a snack from the menu of which was made to perfection, also I forgot my phone charger ( plug) reception supplied on the spot. Nothing any trouble for them, room has nice decor and a warm and friendly atmosphere in my view a very nice hotel a must for anyone coming to Doncaster, reasonable room rates And I look forward to staying here again one day.

Here’s a Google review for you: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fantastic Breakfast Experience! I re-visited The Earl of Doncaster for breakfast and had the Eggs Royal—it was absolutely beautiful! The dish was perfectly prepared, with fresh ingredients and incredible attention to detail. The presentation was spot on, and the flavors were amazing. The staff were also fantastic—friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. The atmosphere was elegant yet welcoming, a great spot to relax and enjoy a quality meal over a business meeting. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a delicious breakfast or a great dining experience overall. I’ll definitely be back for more business meetings for sure

I was invited with a few friends to afternoon tea, I wasn't disappointed it was the best afternoon tea I've had. Little finger wedges for sandwiches with about 6 different fillings, savoury items such as quiche, pork pie, chutney, scotch eggs, grapes. There were large chunks of delicious cheese. There was a plate with large strawberries covered in thick chocolate that were delicious, small bites of other sweet desserts and scones with jam and cheese. We had a lovely afternoon in a lovely place with good friends and great service from the staff. I would recommend the Earl Of Doncaster for afternoon tea.

We were very disappointed with our stay, especially since we had booked this hotel for a special Valentine’s Day celebration. Upon arrival at check-in (2 PM), we were sent to our room, only to find it was still being cleaned. We were then directed back to the lobby, where we had to wait with our luggage. Given the inconvenience, we expected at least a complimentary drink as a goodwill gesture, but nothing was offered. Instead, my wife was mistakenly charged £9 for a non-alcoholic wine, which was later corrected to £6 after we pointed out the error. Service at the bar was painfully slow, 15 minutes and we waited nearly an hour before our room was finally ready. When we were eventually allowed up, the cleaner was still in the room, rushing to finish up and hand us our slippers and dressing gowns. Given our mobility issues, and the long wait we had already endured, it would have been reasonable for staff to offer assistance with our luggage—yet no such offer was made. We booked the Superior Double (the best room available), specifically "the White Room with the Love Heart," but the experience did not match expectations. The net curtain had a hole in it, and there was loud noise from the adjacent ballroom until midnight. While noise is understandable, no complimentary earplugs were provided. The WiFi was also so poor we couldn't even make a video call to our daughter like we wanted to Do not recommend The bed was uncomfortably hard, making it difficult to sleep, and between that and the noise, we only managed a few hours of rest. For £145 per night and a special occasion, the overall service and room quality were underwhelming. We’ve had far better experiences—and much better sleep—at a Premier Inn. Would not recommend.

14 of us went here this afternoon for 'Afternoon Tea'. Won't be going again that's for sure. I'd ordered the Savory version, which was £1 more than the classic version. The quantity and quality of the items was shocking. Some crackers, 2 pieces of cheese, 1/4 of a small pork pie, 1/4 of a sausage roll, some celery and a mini scotch egg, a cheese scone, some smoked salmon on a half of a bread muffin and 6 tiny sandwiches cheese, ham & egg and that's it for £24.95 🙄😒 the service when wanted to pay was shocking. The woman came and said one person needs to pay and then we can each pay them back so it makes it easier for them 😲🤨 so they wanted one us to pay almost £300 then get everyone to pay what they owed back to the person who had paid. We refused and said that makes it even more difficult for us so we all want to pay individually. So they then made us go up one by one to the bar, as they only had 1 card machine! What a joke! Some had leftovers that they wanted to take home, they gave us some tiny takeaway plastic contains that weren't high enough to place things in without squashing the food. I would definitely not recommend having Afternoon Tea here, far too expensive, I feel it wasn't even worth half the price we paid and was a very disappointing experience ☹️👎🏻
