March 2025Used their facilities for a meeting with a client and his employees to give a health and safety refresher training session. A good location chosen by the client. Good sized room with tea coffee and water and a very good range of sandwiches for the lunch break. Would go there again .

February 2025Great staff….. Hotel is nice and convenient for Runcorn and Liverpool, the facilities are good including the swimming pool and gym, food could be better maybe would be my only suggestion, the absolute stars of this hotel are the staff, the young lady on reception is amazing, I think her name was Grace, she was so helpful, offers great tips on places to eat and visit locally, was always smiling and wanting to offer assistance to guests, the other staff including breakfast waitresses and bar staff all are just great. Can’t knock any of them.

January 2025The room has passed its best time but it was clean and very warm despite freezing temperatures outside. The twin bed was very wobbly. The price was not cheap neither. However, the swimming pool was very warm and it was a great experience to swim. The gym was also good, small and packed with cardio equipment. All leisure facilities are free to use for the hotel guests (better than in the Best Western nearby!). Breakfast was very good. Full English and well cooked. Staff very friendly. Free parking (if the main parking is full, turn right at the entrance and there are plenty of additional parking). Overall, very good experience if you don’t mind staying in an old room.

March 2025Check in easy, staff pleasant. Rooms a bit antiquated. No net curtains at the windows which would have been nice for privacy. Lighting is an issue in lots of hotels, lamps are good but you can't beat a good room light . Food and drink at hotel a bit overpriced but food was nice. Breakfast was passable first morning but there must have been a change of staff as food was plentiful and a good variety. Lift was a bit of a bone shaker and it stunk of cigarettes. I would use again for a short stay.

March 2025If you like an 80s outdated room then this is perfect for you. Room is very basic. Dated furniture, curtains that are falling off the tracks. No mini fridge. Bathroom so tiny ridiculous. However it’s also not quite finished been decorated. Pipe work all exposed under the sink. Dirty wall in lounge above radiator and missing cap to radiator pipe. The radiators constantly making noises 24/7 joke. Sofa bed in our room old and shabby falling apart. Tea making facilities awful. Vile UHT milk and dreadful cheap teabags. Then we work our way to room been cleaned. We were woke up on our first morning at 9.am by lady walking into our room to clean lol. Absolutely disgusting. The room was not hoovered in the 4 days we stayed. The bedside lamps were so old and the shades had holes in them. All in all a place I will never return to. Noisy outside of room loud talking in the early hours and banging of the doors.
