The Montagu Arms Hotel is set in the picturesque and historic village of Beaulieu. Full of character with its oak panelling, open fire places and quintessentially English gardens, the hotel provides an intimate and exclusive setting for your wedding in the New Forest where romance and history entwine. The hotel is licensed for civil marriage and partnership ceremonies for up to 100 guests held in either our traditional Oakwood Room, with original parquet flooring, or our elegant Terrace Restaurant, with views over our pretty English garden. We can accommodate 100 people for your wedding breakfast in our 3 AA Rosette restaurant plus up to 130 guests for your evening reception. From the moment you arrive at the Montagu Arms Hotel you will receive our famous red carpet welcome. Your wedding day seamlessly unfolds with or experienced and discreet wedding team, providing outstanding service based on traditional English etiquette, leaving you to relax and enjoy your perfect day.
The quality of food at The Montagu Arms will ensure your weding is one your guests will talk about for years. Head chef and Roux scholar, Matt Tomkinson will personally plan your wedding breakfast menu with you to ensure you are delighted with every aspect. Matt has carefully selected all his food suppliers to guarentee the highest quality organic ingredients for your dishes. Matt also grows his own herbs and vegetables in his kitchen garden and has fresh eggs daily from his own chickens. After your perfect day, you and your wedding party can retire to one of our twenty two individually designed and elegantly appointed suites or bedrooms. Some of our suites and bedrooms enjoy views over the magnificient Beaulieu Palace Estate whilst others overlook our enchanting and much loved English county garden.

January 2025What a lovely hotel! We had a splendid room in the gardens and an extremely comfortable stay. The staff are so friendly and the atmosphere is excellent. The food is good and the location is wonderful. I particularly recommend the walk to Bucklers Hard along a good footpath from outside the hotel. Thank you for a memorable stay.

January 2025I was rather disappointed. We went for afternoon tea for my fiancés birthday and I paid £35 each. It wasn’t possible to sit in the cosy room where there was a fire, we had to be seated in the rather empty and cold event room (maybe it was their restaurant). We did ask if we could move but it wasn’t possible. The room was cold and we and others sat with our coats on. The service wasn’t great and the waitresses weren’t all that attentive so we had to call them when things weren’t quite right. They were nice but just not the service you would have expected. Usually they would ask if you wanted any more tea or sandwiches etc. The entrance hall was nice but had an aroma of cats but maybe it was the room spray that they use. If it is I would suggest changing it :) there are definitely more inviting smells. Good location if you want to be in Beaulieu and they also have their own car park which makes things easier. This is round the back of the hotel.
