The Montagu Arms Hotel is set in the picturesque and historic village of Beaulieu. Full of character with its oak panelling, open fire places and quintessentially English gardens, the hotel provides an intimate and exclusive setting for your wedding in the New Forest where romance and history entwine. The hotel is licensed for civil marriage and partnership ceremonies for up to 100 guests held in either our traditional Oakwood Room, with original parquet flooring, or our elegant Terrace Restaurant, with views over our pretty English garden. We can accommodate 100 people for your wedding breakfast in our 3 AA Rosette restaurant plus up to 130 guests for your evening reception. From the moment you arrive at the Montagu Arms Hotel you will receive our famous red carpet welcome. Your wedding day seamlessly unfolds with or experienced and discreet wedding team, providing outstanding service based on traditional English etiquette, leaving you to relax and enjoy your perfect day.
The quality of food at The Montagu Arms will ensure your weding is one your guests will talk about for years. Head chef and Roux scholar, Matt Tomkinson will personally plan your wedding breakfast menu with you to ensure you are delighted with every aspect. Matt has carefully selected all his food suppliers to guarentee the highest quality organic ingredients for your dishes. Matt also grows his own herbs and vegetables in his kitchen garden and has fresh eggs daily from his own chickens. After your perfect day, you and your wedding party can retire to one of our twenty two individually designed and elegantly appointed suites or bedrooms. Some of our suites and bedrooms enjoy views over the magnificient Beaulieu Palace Estate whilst others overlook our enchanting and much loved English county garden.

June 2024Our first stay at The Montagu Arms and it was absolutely first class. All of the staff are very friendly and professional and the boutique rooms are beautifully appointed. The food was excellent too both in the restaurant and in Monty's the hotel's own bistro pub next door. Just a couple of minutes from Beaulieu Motor Museum. A perfect weekend retreat and we will be returning.

September 2024There is something beautifully English about this hotel and restaurant, just relaxing and enjoying the scene makes this so real. Croquet on the lawn, sat down in the nicely kept garden with table service offered. We had the excellent ploughman’s. Such gorgeous decor throughout and just to nicely kept. Fantastic service!

July 2024It’s a really nice hotel in a pretty village called Beaulieu in New Forest. It’s cosy / has a nice old feel to it, lovely terrace inside the hotel overlooking a nice fountain. Decent bar and drinks too. Service is fine, no complaints at all. Good parking spaces available in the back of the hotel. Overall a lovely hotel to stay over and spend a weekend in New Forest. Their main restaurant is nice too. It’s not on the cheaper side / especially over weekends and that too in summer months. But that is a common occurrence and expected. We had an unexpected hotel alarm go off at 4 am which woke us up. But the hotel apologised for it the next day. Verdict 4.5/5 Decent value for money.
