December 2024I had a fantastic stay recently at the Mercure . I was politely welcomed by two amazing front desk staff. They both made me feel so comfortable. The room was adequate and extremely reasonable for the low price. I had a great time whilst the location was right next to the Leeds castle, where I was able to have a lovely day out and come back to delightful dinner. Tia and Nina made me feel extremely comfortable Hotel and highly recommended the amazing breakfast was a brilliant huge buffet selection.

October 2024I recently stayed at the Mercure Maidstone Great Danes Hotel, and it was an exceptional experience. The highlight of our stay was definitely the breakfast—absolutely amazing! There was a fantastic selection of fresh and delicious options that catered to every taste. A special mention must go to Victoria, whose morning service was simply the best we've ever experienced. She was attentive, friendly, and made our mornings feel truly special. The hotel facilities were also impressive. From the well-maintained grounds to the comfortable rooms, everything contributed to a relaxing atmosphere. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a wonderful stay with top-notch service and amenities. You won't be disappointed!

November 2024Lovely room, bed was massive. Bathroom was a little on the small side but perfectly functional and very clean. Everything one would expect was available in the room. I'm not sure I'd class it as 4 star but it's most definitely at the upper end of 3 star. My job takes me all over the world so hotel stays are par the course and I would definitely stay in this hotel again.

November 2024Noisy room *next to laundry* Noisy guests well into early hours. Couldn't get anyone on reception at the time. But next morning fully refunded room and had free buffet breakfast which was amazing..even option to take a coffee and pastries for long onwards journey. Would recommend. Service and customer care impeccable.

December 2024Arrived at 3.30pm to check in, waited in line to collect key card. Walked half a mile to the room, as we entered the corridor it was obvious there was no heating to these rooms. Phoned reception who stated they had a new boiler installed that day and the heating will be on soon. 3 hours passed, no heating, we left for our staff Christmas party at nearby Leeds castle. Arrived back at the hotel 11pm and asked at reception if the heating was on - they confirmed it was on. Got to the room, again the whole corridor was cold (we had multiple rooms booked out and all on this corridor) phoned reception again to be told they will deliver an electric heater in 5 minutes. 20 minutes passed, a knock at the door to confirm they had no electric heaters left as they had given them all out and we were to move rooms to a different part of the hotel, so I had to pack up the room and move to another that had heating! Finally at midnight I could go to sleep. This is completely unacceptable to allocate rooms to a corporate booking all with no heating - probably hoping they'll not complain as they're going to be plastered with alcohol to keep them warm on a night at 3 degrees above freezing. 2 staff on reception said they will 'make a note' and let the manager Nina know. I'm sure nothing will be done and that more party bookings will be using these rooms with no heating. Apparently the heating will be fixed next Wednesday - so again differing stories depending who you speak to. This is a sub par hotel, the rooms are dated, smell damp (as there's no heating to keep them dry) and would never stay here again.
