English Wine Centre, Exclusive Hire

Located in the quintessentially English village of Alfriston, the English Wine Centre is unique wedding venue for a truly special day. You can choose to celebrate your new marriage in our atmospheric Green Oak Lodge, or in our luxurious marquee. We are passionate about local wines and beers, and our bars have a huge variety of speciality drinks. And, with five elegant bedroom suites, you won't have to travel far to kick off your dancing shoes!
We are licensed to host civil wedding ceremonies, these take place in our atmospheric seventeenth century Oak Barn set within our beautiful gardens, designed for us by Chelsea gold medal winner Roger Platt. We can cater for up to 150 guests with your wedding breakfast held in our classic marquee, which is attached directly to the Oak Barn, or 90 guests in our contemporary guesthouse, Green Oak Lodge. In addition we can accommodate an extra 50 evening guests. We have experienced chefs and an excellent reputation for the quality of our food which is michelin rated. We offer locally sourced seasonal menus for you to choose from. However, if you would like to create your own menu our head chef would be more than delighted to help you. We take great pleasure in providing you with a personalized service. With that aim in mind we only host one wedding a weekend to ensure that your wedding day is relaxed and exactly how you have envisioned it. Whether it’s a three course, sit down meal, a barbeque or a luxury afternoon tea we will take care of the timings and organizational details so that you can enjoy a wonderful and memorable day.
