Thorpe Garden is nestled in the heart of the Staffordshire countryside. Concealed within the estate is a two-acre walled garden, which has a rich history. Once cultivated to grow produce for the estate (owned by the Inge Family since 1631); in the 80s it became an organic garden, selling its wares to London restaurants. It has now been restored to its former glory, abundant in flowers and trees. The Pavillion is a striking new addition to the walled garden, designed by RIBA award winning architect Seth Stein. The building features a large sloping roof which floats over the listed Victorian wall, with glass doors opening onto a large terrace and the garden beyond. The space also boasts a hand-crafted, one of a kind yurt with steamed mountain ash supports, solid oak doors and large windows which frame beautiful views of the walled garden.

We pride ourselves on our feasts and use the finest produce. A team of highly qualified chefs cook fresh, quality ingredients on our tailor-made grill and rotisseries. We present simple, memorable dishes from canapés to whole barbecued lamb, our signature beef sirloin bricks and smoky chargrilled vegetables. We work with you to design a menu to please you and your guests.

We had our wedding at Thorpe Garden in June and it exceeded our expectations massively. The day and night coordinators were so helpful, couldn't do enough for us. The food was to die for! We had the cripps charcuterie to start which was a bigger portion than expected, beef for main which was cooked to perfection, and the chocolate tart for pudding which finished the meal off nicely. All of our guests have said how amazing the food was and how beautiful the venue is (especially the gardens) and we couldn't agree more. Thank you to everyone at Thorpe Garden for hosting the best day of our lives!

Attended a wedding at this venue. It was absolutely spectacular. The setting, decore, food, atmosphere, and attention to detail. I was completely blown away by everything here.

I photographed a wedding back here in 2022, it was the first time visiting Thorpe Garden even though i have been to all the other Cripps venues. The main feature is the yurt in the centre of the venue, it was the hottest day of the year and this space is fully air conditioned which was so good, the venue staff were friendly and kept the water coming constantly. The glass sided ceremony space was spacious and had great light. There were lots of places for couples portraits including some black shutter barns just outside the venues walls.

This place is a fabulous venue for a wedding, family gathering or even conference. The grounds are wonderful but what makes it is the staff team running the venue or their 21 room residence, Constantine House. They could not do enough for our daughter’s wedding.

We got married there in August and had a fantastic time at a beautiful venue. The on to day coordinators were amazing and so helpful. The venue tried to accommodate any requests as best they could. There were a few minor things they missed, including a confusion about a dish being allergen free when it wasn't, but overall a great experience. My only other comment is that the system they use to communicate (Cordero) can be difficult to use - especially on mobile. It is also the only way to talk with them and requires a login each time which can make things quite long.
