Fantastic place great staff the swimming pool is great with the kids. We hired a power boat it was fantastic the kids loved it. Room only a four as no fridge sadly and stains on the carpet, they did try to clean the carpet but I think it needs replaced.

this is a great place to stay. the only bad mark was the presentation of my room, as it hadn't been cleaned properly. the table top surface hadn't been wiped down, as there were hairs and dirt and a previous stay. aside from that, the service was very good, especially the waiting staff. really good demeanor and friendly. always great to be around individuals, who understand who great service means. the grounds are beautiful. if it's warm enough, have a meal outside. or take your coffee and sit by the river. amazing way to begin and end your day.

All in all a lovely weekend at The Lensbury. this was our second stay. The location of the hotel for what we need it for and the activities on site for children are great. So for the most part it really suits our needs. However there are a few things that need addressing. The shower in the room we had was very poor and could do with upgrading. There is no EV charging stations on site, for a hotel of this size and location there should be some EV charging. Lastly as a resident of the hotel you have access to all the club facilities (gym, pool, tennis, spa etc) however there is a lovely little cafe that I tried to buy a protein shake at the new and very nice Dunbar cafe after my workout, but I was turned away because it is for "Members Only" however by the very nature of the fact you are a resident in the hotel and have access to all the club facilities you are a "resident member", even when asked to present your membership card alternatively you could use your room key card. Even if the working spaces and seating areas are for club members only but the cafe shop was open to hotel residents that would surely make sense commercially. I compare this to being at other clubs as a guest and them not serving you in the club cafe because you are only a guest not a member. This did leave a very sour taste and was the compelling reason for me writing this review. It just seems a very silly rule that could be tweaked slightly to improve customer experience!

While the location is convenient and the staff are friendly, the rooms fall short of expectations. Upon arrival, we discovered beard stubble on the glass tray above the sink, hidden behind the shower cap (see photo). The room itself was quite small and dark, which was disappointing. We stayed in the side building ‘Ascot’ and paid £170 per night over the weekend. At this price point, we expected a higher standard. On the positive side, the breakfast was excellent, and the pool, sauna, and steam room were satisfactory. However, the relaxation area appeared a bit outdated and could use some attention. The rooms might look different in the main building, however the side buildings are quite outdated.
