Staff were friendly and helpful, rooms were very clean, food was lovely. Only slight negative was the rooms were absolutely boiling, I had to turn the radiator off and open the window and was still struggling but some people like that I suppose

On entering the reception girl, was lovely and welcoming and allowed me to make changes to my breakfast time. Room 7 was lovely and the milk bottle was good. The bed was like sleeping on a fluffy cloud, it was great. The window is original and thin so take earplugs and the drain lid is loose in the road making a banging noise with each vehicle that drives over it. The shower screen is way too short and the floor gets wetter than the crowd at a Justin Bieber concert and water sprays from the shower pipe-head connection not ideal. The soap was nice. The whole building is full of character and the original part dates back to 1800. Breakfast is cooked fresh and is small if you’re a fatty, the black pud was overcooked and the fried bread was like biting into glass but the sausage and mushrooms stood out to be high quality. The continental choice is very limited but the mini jars of jams etc are cute and collectible and the bottled juices were a lovely touch. The tables are laid beautifully and give a high class feel. Be careful entering and exiting the car park, the average car has only 3 spare inches each side before you are scraping the walls like a mad man. I’d love 3 spare inches and so would the wife I know I know! The location was great too being a 13 min stroll into town and close to all amenities. Thank you team I will return.

This place is a good 30 minutes walk from the train station. Rooms are small and compact which isnt an issue. However the noisy fridge was, the creaking floorboards was, and being woken up this morning just after 7am by some loud banging was not appreciated. Breakfasts were small, but cost a lot. Didnt have much to do with the staff.
