Pollokshields Library offers a wide range of services and activities in relaxing, comfortable and inspiring surroundings. Our friendly staff will always be on hand to help you get the most out of your visits.
Pollokshields Library holds the Glasgow Libraries record for the highest number of children taking part in the Tesco Bank Summer Reading Challenge in each of our 33 libraries. Last year a whopping 293 young people aged 0-12 took part in the Challenge.

December 2024We love it here for so many reasons: - Lego & colouring clubs on a Saturday are a huge hit with my kids (2 and 6) - bookbug sessions are run brilliantly and well attended - a lovely space to work when I’m not in the office / with the kids (bonus points for being so close to the amazing square park coffee!) - staff are always amazingly helpful - late night opening on Tues & Thurs allows me to use the library outside of working hours (the kids also love going then for a library bedtjme story!) So grateful to have this amazing resource within walking distance - keep up the great work.
