ABode Manchester is set in the heart of the cosmopolitan city, only a few minutes walk from Piccadilly train station and a short stroll from the main shopping areas. Originally a 19th century textile factory, Victorian architecture blends with 21st century luxury and a relaxed, sophisticated dining experience.
Built in the 19th century as a textile factory by the influential Mancunian architect Charles Heathcote, the building was completed in 1899 in a distinctive Jacobean-Baroque style. It was originally used as a packing warehouse and showroom with offices for cotton manufacturer Sparrow Hardwick & Company. Incorporating the ABode collection’s trademark Comfortable, Desirable, Enviable and Fabulous room categories, each of the 61 guestrooms offers a distinct style with quality and comfort at their core and a luxurious bed and the clean lines of a contemporary ensuite bathroom as standard.
Brasserie Abode offers a relaxed, all day venue, in the style of a grand European brasserie and bar. Guests can enjoy brunch, lunch, dinner and cocktails and the all-day menu features plats du jour with a comfortingly, nostalgic nod and time-honoured classics alongside a great value Prix Fixe menu.
ABode Manchester is available for exclusive hire for weddings and celebrations and has two function rooms available to seat up to 30.

Bang on value for the city centre location. Room clean and comfortable. I got lost in that bed! Have you seen the size of it? Food and service both spot on. Front of house very helpful. Big car park just around the corner. Discount for hotel guests.

Great midweek one night stay here. Super friendly and helpful staff, special mentions to Omar who couldn’t do enough for us and was so personable and polite and Chris who was thoughtful and kind. I will definitely be back.

I recently stayed at the Abode Hotel in Manchester and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the hotel staff were excellent—very friendly and accommodating. The shower pressure was fantastic, and the room size was more than adequate. However, there were a few downsides. There's no air conditioning, which made the room quite uncomfortable. The restaurant staff were slow, and for the price, I was disappointed that there was no complimentary water in the room. Overall, it was a decent stay but with room for improvement.

This hotel has probably been created from a former city centre warehouse and has great architectural features. The rooms are a decent size. Bathrooms are large, recently fitted and clean. It is close to Piccadilly Station and city centre amenities. At the end of July 2024, my room was unbearably hot with direct afternoon sun increasing the heat. There is no air conditioning and the only remedy is totally inadequate floor units which move air but do not cool. It was only just about bearable for a 2 night stay. In my standard room, there was no fridge and water was not provided. Housekeeping staff were very amenable though my room wasn't really serviced well. Front desk staff ranged between excellent (Omar in particular), trying to help with the problems (overheated room, providing water, taking note of issues arising from poor msintenance, helping with luggage etc.) to complete indifference. The Brasserie staff also ranged between very willing but not well informed or trained to rude and ineffective. Food was ok but nothing more. Overall, this was reasonable value for money but I wouldn't stay again. The hotel can only achieve lowish prices, presumably in the face of competition. With low margins, I assume there isn't much left for investment in staff training or the infrastructure.

Booked a 'Enviable Double' for myself, wife and daughter. Luggage Storage was essential to us. The woman at reception was extremely difficult with a poor attitude and make exucuses for not allowing us to store a suitcase and one small bag for us stating that 'storage was full and they needed to leave room for arrivals' after explaining that we couldn't carry a 20kg suitcase around Manchester for 7 hours with a 3 year old child she stubbornly took our case in.. beware if Luggage Storage is important for your visit this Hotel has extremely limited capacity and are reluctant to store bags even if they can see you are traveling with small Children
