Great hotel, lovely ambience. The room I stayed in was clean & well decorated and furnished. The hotel is stately in appearance and makes a great location to stay in Harrogate, close to the city centre and with good parking facilities. Let down by the evening meal. It took almost 3hours to be served and eat a 3 course meal. It delayed our conference and put everyone in a foul mood for the rest of the evening.

Lovely hotel. Central. Nice welcome as we checked in. We asked for decaffeinated teabags and an ice bucket upon checking in at 3.00pm. However it took a further 3 calls to reception and 2 hours later until these items arrived to our room. The room was a lovely size comfortable bed and plenty of room. The room was overall clean however we did have to call housekeeping as the was mouldy food hair grips and broken plastic bits on the carpet. Perhaps it just got missed. The bathroom was spacious and again mostly clean however the shower was in need of a really good clean quote mouldy and not what you would expect. When we checked out the receptionist didn't ask us about our stay or anything. All was said was are you checking out and there is a charge for the parking. I just thought it was not very courteous to ask about our stay. The car park I thought could have been free for guests and just given the code on checking out. Breakfast was ok nice selection. Although I had asked for Yorkshire tea and was told some in a bowl were but upon making it it really wasn't.
