November 2024Spa is lovely, however, as a guest i would expect to have both robe and flip flops in room for both. Currently £7.50 deposit per robe. No full length mirror in classic double. Breakfast team worked hard with most ahortages quickly resolved - not helped by late arriving guests (10 is finish). Large public car park adjacent to hotel for near same price.

December 2024We stayed for a weekend in November to visit an event in Winchester. The hotel was very nice, nice public areas, lounge, bar, dining room etc. The restaurant was very good and the food excellent as was the service. We were a bit disappointed to be given a room with a frosted sky light and not a proper window which didn’t help when our air conditioning failed for the second night of our stay. The hotel tried to help by proving a fan but it didn’t make the room particularly comfortable. We would stay again for sure, but would request a different room next time.

December 2024We’ve recently stayed at the Winchester hotel and spa and we are a little underwhelmed. Firstly the location is great, only a 15 minute walk into town and with the Xmas market on it was great. However I feel the room needed a little more attention to detail as we had a hole in the ceiling, also scuffs on the bathroom door. The hot tap on the sink was missing the top. also the shower plug didn’t seem to drain very well as we had to keep turning the shower off waiting for it to drain. All small things but when you’re paying £280 for a room surely you’d expect everything to be perfect, and have that wow factor. Especially having to pay £8 to park in the hotel car park? Think that was cheeky. The staff were great and welcoming but unfortunately I don’t think we’ll be returning as we didn’t feel we got our moneys worth.
