Quite an amazing place to have authentic Indian food! This is my first time & I am already a pretty big fan of their Rasmalai. You just resist having more of it!! Anshul was great assist in letting us know the details of every dish we ordered.

I recently celebrated my birthday at Colonel Saab with a small group of friends, and it was an unforgettable experience. The interior is absolutely stunning—every corner is thoughtfully decorated, with majestic chandeliers adding a touch of grandeur. It’s truly a feast for the eyes and creates the perfect setting for a special occasion. The food was equally impressive. As a fan of spicy dishes, I was delighted with the Chicken Chettinad—the spice level was spot on, delivering a satisfying heat without overpowering the rich curry flavors. Every dish we tried was delicious, beautifully presented, and full of authentic taste. To top it off, the desserts were mouthwatering and the perfect way to end the evening on a sweet note. I highly recommend Colonel Saab for anyone looking for an elegant dining experience with incredible food and ambiance. Can’t wait to return!

Amazing service and even better food. I highly recommend their tasting menu as it gives you the opportunity to try out more than one item which is always recommended with Indian cuisine. I paired my tasting with their cocktail tasting menu and wow!! Each drink was carefully curated and paired to the meal you are having. The service was a little slow (it took about an hour for my friend to get her meal) but after she got it, it was a fantastic Dish! I give it 4 stars because I was doing the tasting menu and that may have impacted the timing on her dish and that was not effectively communicated to us. We will definitely be back!

The ambience was beautiful. Felt like going back in colonial time. A beautiful love story of a major and his sweetheart, many artifacts regarding their life and family. Gave an impression of a family home crossed with a museum. With the atmosphere there was high expectations for the food. I suppose being vegetarian there is limited choice and not much fusion or richness in the dishes. Disappointed with the samosa chaat such a small portion, gone before you tasted all the flavours. But the menu did state mini samosa but the expection was at least two samosas in a serving. Mali kofta, 3 pieces of beetroot carrot croquet in a usual tomatoe gravay maybe there was a hint of cream and nuts at £19.95 which I missed. Just felt that the dishes were over priced for the servings and for a vegetarian to pay similar price as nonveg dishes for mediocre tasting dish was disappointing. I guess their speciality is chicken dishes. Other Indian restaurants where you pay £70pp the quality of vegetarian food is superb and unique so you wish to return again. The other off putting aspect was that all dinners were huddled close together under the alcove while the two thirds of the area was unoccupied. Note there is a £20pp booking charge. Best not to book so you can just stop for tea and cake.
