Set sail and embark on a memorable event at our Portsmouth Harbour site. Our Portsmouth Harbour site is made up of 4 venues in Portsmouth - the pride of Queen’s Victoria’s fleet - HMS Warrior, The HMS Victory, The National Museum of the Royal Navy and Action Stations and only a few minutes boat ride away is our 2 Gosport venues - The Royal Submarine Museum and Explosion Museum of Naval Firepower.
Climb on-board the largest, fastest and most powerful warship of Queen Victoria’s fleet, HMS Warrior. As soon as you step on-board, the story of the ship will unfold before you. The HMS Warrior is made up of 4 event spaces: Half Deck, Main Gun Deck, Officer’s Wardroom and The Captain’s Cabin.
Half deck: An evocative space for smaller dinners, the Half Deck separated the space between the crew and where the Captain lived and worked.
Main Gun deck: Guests can dine at the mess tables where the seven hundred sailors used to take their meals, in between the forty guns that made up Warriors single gun deck.
Officers’ Wardroom: Originally the mess for the officers, even the Captain would have to ask permission to enter. The Wardroom table is available for intimate dinners.
Captain’s Cabin: Set like a Victorian drawing room, your guests can luxuriate and dine in the splendour of the Captain’s Cabin, with its rich décor and fine furniture.

February 2025The HMS Warrior is more than just a historical ship; it's a breathtaking time capsule. Even observing it from the exterior, one is immediately struck by its imposing presence and the sheer scale of its revolutionary design. This ironclad marvel represents a pivotal moment in naval history, and it's easy to grasp the "surreal feeling" it evokes.

January 2025HMS Warrior is inside the historic dockyard. It's a great place to go if you have young kids, or are interested in naval history, or both! The staff on board will be in character and will answer your questions on the ship and family life aboard. It makes a lovely sunset photo and the lights during Christmas do it justice too. Apparently it gets very busy on weekend mornings. So for a more leisurely visit, go in the afternoon in particular during the weekend.

January 2025Definitely the star of the History Dockyard, it alone can be an hour or more visit if you are into the details. The ship is smashing and has an incredible history, standing on it you can feel the strength it once represents. It is one that has to be seen in person to be believed. Highly recommend.

March 2025The historic Dockyard is an amazing place to visit H.M.S. Warrior, being just one of its attractions. You will find actors aboard who tell you about the ships' history. There are lots of very steep steps so probably not suitable for elderly visitors.
