A good location if you’re working nearby but very little around. Initially looked good but after the initial reaction it looks a bit tired in parts in need of a little TLC. Good sized and well appointed rooms, nice bathroom let down by well worn carpet by the door. The mini gym don’t bother unless you’re OK just on a bike, no full body workout without a bit of creativity. The bar area is modern looking and pleasant enough but a substantial amount of the parquet flooring is loose, such a shame. I would consider staying again however as the room is comfortable.

I had high hopes for this hotel. Stayed for three nights, averaging £100. The room was clean and modern. But the hotel is in need of some care, new carpet. But the really bad part is the extremely hard bed. My two stars on service lands on the front desk team and restaurant. The front desk was cold, not welcoming and not really done to help the guests. And the restaurant is the lack of complementary breakfast for a £100,00 night hotel.

I stayed at the hotel a number of years ago when it was The Dokota. Very disappointed, the room was tired and the breakfast was awful. Be aware that it's now a buffet and when I visited there was no fruit, eggs were swimming in oil, dregs of juice left. I had a cup of tea and asked for a refund which I received. Standards have definitely slipped a long way here... It's no longer worth the high price tag. The only redeeming factor is that it is close to the motorway.

Extremely poor customer service. Wasn’t able to make a family Christmas due to parents compromised immunity and we had gotten COVID. Phoned up the hotel to try and reorganise, we wanted to reschedule and not refund due to actually liking the hotel the last time we stopped. However, poorly skilled staff members passed from one to another and repeated same information. Could have very easily adjusted the dates but almost spitefully rejected it. Won’t be visiting this hotel again, will be booking the premier inn down the road. For what it’s worth, here’s the COVID test. If you happen to be ill, don’t bother getting in touch with the rude staff, just turn up instead. They will not be helpful in the slightest.
