Amazing day out with loads of military history & cool tunnels to explore. Well presented, well preserved & great fun to explore around. Even had farm animals when we went but the best bit it’s FREE.

We visited over the Easter holidays with our 4 and 2 year old. We really enjoyed our visit. There was lots to see and it was very informative. The free Easter craft activities were lovely, as was the petting farm. We also loved exploring the old tunnels and outdoor grounds. Very friendly staff with a nice cafe and gift shop. We couldn't believe it was free (minus £3 for parking). Well worth a visit!

Amazing museum, free-entrance, lots of lovely things for children to do , nice café to have lunch or a hot drink, thoroughly recommend for all ages, Plenty of seats all away around the museum , with really pretty view of Portsmouth Harbour. Parking £3.00 per car.

Amazing hidden gem. Easy to get to from M27. Massive fort with plenty of helpful staff to guide you and answer questions. Lots of young children there running about and enjoying the outside space. Kids loved long the underground tunnels. Free of charge except for a modest parking charge. Spent a couple of hours there. Incredible collection of cannons and other military equipment. Would definitely recommend for all ages. A real must see.
