Lovely hotel, very friendly staff, and the food was amazing. We enjoyed every meal. Would definitely recommend staying here. We had one of the suites where the room and bathroom was quite large. Plenty of draws etc for your clothes. One little niggle, on the website it said slippers provided. So I took ours out of our case. But was told they had stopped supplying them. Well please cancel this on the website. Also no safe, which would have been nice, as we always use one. Also had a job to get into our room, as door knob a bit old. It was quite funny, seeing if we could get in first time. However, we would still stop here again . Also we both got a voucher for a free drink in the bar, which was a great idea, thank you.

A superb stay at Grinkle Park. We had the “skylark” room which was very spacious with splendid views. Staff were exceptional, with nothing too much trouble. We were new to the area but reception told us the best places to visit etc think they were surprised when we came back to show off our fossil finds. We had a great time. Bar staff very friendly and helpful and food was delicious. Definitely recommend

We arrived for one night stay as a relaxing break and were greeted as we entered the hotel in a warm and friendly manner. We were asked if we would mind waiting in the reception area while the availability of our room was checked, as we were early. The staff were throughout very welcoming, helpful and polite. The room was amazing and scrupulously clean with a great view over the grounds. We dined in the restaurant on the evening and the menu was varied with a great choice. The food was very good and we would well recommend a stay at Grinkle Park. A fabulous time.

We spent three nights here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and could not have picked a nicer spot. The property is at the end of a long drive which must be spectacular in the Spring when the Rhododendrons are in flower. There is ample parking and the grounds are lovely. The building itself has lots of character and charm. There are plenty of seating areas to relax and a room with a full size billiards table. The dining room served excellent food and the menu changed on at least two of our nights. The quality and presentation was very good. The staff were outstanding. Very friendly, warm and welcoming. Our room, the Jenny Bradbury, was very comfortable and spacious. My only reason for giving this 4* rather than 5 was that we found the room a little dark with only the two bedside lights. It made the room very atmospheric, but not easy to sit in the comfy chairs by the window and read after dark. It could do with a reading lamp. Very close to Whitby, Staithes and the moors. Highly recommended.

My partner and I spent two nights at the Grinkle Park Hotel and what a great time we had. From the moment we checked it in till we left I cannot say anything bad about this place. We booked one of the offers which included our evening meal in the price and it was really good value for money. The long drive way leading to the hotel was stunning, I can only imagine how beautiful it would be in summer. We had a deluxe double room which was enormous with all the extras you would expect. The food in the dining room was lovely and the menu changed every day. The ambience at this time of year was calm and relaxing which is just what we wanted. All the staff were lovely and attentive. The hotel is located in a quiet area with easy access to the coast and Yorkshire Moors. We highly recommend this place and will be returning in the future.
