My husband and I stayed to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. The staff were very helpful from the very first time we contacted them via email to arrange the booking with Roxanna. Our evening meal in the restaurant was superb. In fact I would say it was the best meal I have had in many years. I highly recommend the herb crusted lamb and both my husband and I agreed that the sticky toffee pudding was pure heaven. Geeva & Gael were very attentive serving staff and very pleasant. We chose to have a few drinks in the bar and again, Ashley the barman was a delight. Attentive, pleasant and friendly. Overall it was a thoroughly enjoyable stay and we look forward to staying again in future

Staff: Alll nice and polite especially Maddie in the restaurant who gave good food recommendations and also advised on places of interest around Coventry for us to visit. Dinner: Was very good, small menu. Daily Specials were the same throughout our stay. Breakfast: Was buffet style and average, asked for Hot Chocolate at breakfast and was told they don't serve that though its on the restaurant menu! On my second night I spilt some food on the floor in open view and it was still there when I went for breakfast at 10am the next morning. Corridors and communal areas: Could do with a refresh, carpets in the corridors look to have water stains. Bedroom: Is average, bathroom needs decorating with signs of mould in the tile grout. Gym/pool: needs a tidy. No swimming costume dryer in the men's changing rooms and half the lockers don't work. Women's changing room has swimming costume dryer but no shower gel. Shower cubicle walls are dirty and slimy Steam room out of order for the 3 days(2 nights) we stayed. Would I stay there again? No.

Liked · The restuarant was clean, airy, bright.. the staff were friendly and helpful.. when requesting extra pillows, a fan, another hair dryer, the staff from reception brought to the room straight away,. Disliked · The room we were allocated on the bottom corridor had dusty floor, dirty window with spider webs, the shower head never sat in its cradle so fell off wen the water was turned on, so so noisy with doors banging from as early as 7am.. the mattress protector on one bed had spots of blood on and a bath towel was ripped and black stained..the single sheet didn't tuck in as the mattress was very thick.. and a single duvet in a large double duvet cover?? We only had 2 coat hangers and requested some more but when 3 were brought to our room, they were bent and misshapen, they weren't worth using.. unfortunately there were no gluten free sausages, hash browns for breakfast only two options of gluten free cornflakes and gluten free bread..no dairy free options either..

Stayed here for 2 nights last weekend with my husband and in laws who are over 80 and have never stayed in a hotel, so we wanted to treat them. Used the buyagift.com website to book this hotel at £122 per couple plus the extra top up fee of £81 per couple. So £203 per couple for the 2 night stay. The hotel is dated and run down. The owners need to do a full refurb. The walls are scuffed, carpets stained and trims damaged. Also no colour, pictures, plants, ornaments or interior touches to make you feel like it's 4*. The outside area looks rough with the pub benches/brollies, cig ends, rubbish and peeling paintwork. The bathroom is old fashioned, cold tap didn't work, no extractor fan so everything is literally dripping wet and I used the bin bucket to flush the waste down the toilet because it wouldn't flush properly. Mother in law found a spider in her bed. But the Worst thing was the NOISE. Doors do not have soft close. So are Slamming all night long. All the way down the corridor. Plus we had a group of girls in between our 2 rooms who were celebrating all night. High heels clacking, doors slamming and screeching/laughing. Guests will be guests but the hotel don't police Etiquette/Behaviour. The breakfast was excellent, hot and fresh with plenty of choice. Overall very disappointed with our stay and in my opinion this is Not a 4 star hotel. Such a shame because the winding entrance through the woods on arrival makes you think "wow this is going to be a luxury hotel."

Dirty, mouldy, and very badly maintained. Unfortunately I didn't take pictures of the first room as we didn't stay in it for long. The pictures attached were from the second room, which was a big improvement but still poor. Once past reception, the hotel is run down. The maintenance is done to a very amateur standard. The bathroom in the first room was so mouldy that I was shocked it passed any sort of checks or inspection. The receptionist didn't seem surprised when we asked for a new room. The smell from the kitchen was unpleasant, so we didn't try the food. The decor is dated, and the curtains didn't block out the light enough to keep the room dark.
