When it comes to the festive season, there’s nothing quite like the office Christmas party. It’s a great opportunity to get the entire team together, boost morale, and celebrate all you’ve accomplished over the last year. But with so many different ways to celebrate, how do you know what’s best for your company? We’ve come up with a list of office Christmas party ideas for everyone. No matter what you’re looking for, you’ll be sure to find something on this list that suits your company’s vibe.
Office Christmas Party Ideas for the Daytime
Nowadays, people have fully embraced flexible and hybrid working which means a lot of your attendees will probably be traveling into the office from somewhere else for your office Christmas party. That means that you should make the most out of the entire day. Kick things off in the office with a little Christmas breakfast. Have everyone come dressed in their ugliest Christmas sweater, watch a holiday movie at lunchtime, or decorate cookies. Before you head off for the evening, do a Secret Santa exchange so everyone can get into the festive spirit.
Office Christmas Party Ideas for the Evening
1. Test Your Teamwork at an Escape Room
If you have a smaller team and want to get everyone involved, why not head to an Escape Room? There are so many fun ones with different themes and activity levels that it should be easy to find out near you. It’s a great way to kick off the evening with something that gets the team working together. One of our favourites is Escape Live, who have locations in Birmingham and Liverpool.
2. Get Competitive at an Activity Bar
Sometimes it’s more fun to head to an activity bar than sit down for a meal. And when it comes to office Christmas party ideas there’s nothing like a bit of friendly competition. Split your team into groups and try your hand at virtual clay shooting, cricket, crazy golf, and more. Most activity bars have incredibly good food and lots of tasty cocktails to choose from. A few of our favourites are Sixes Cricket Club, Clays, and Swingers City.
3. Join a Shared Christmas Party
A great way to take the stress out of planning your Office Christmas party is by going a shared one. They usually offer a great theme, entertainment, a three-course meal, and drinks for a reasonable price per person. You’ll have your own tables for your team and then everyone can get up for dancing later on in the evening. Have the team get dressed up and watch as everyone has an epic time. Two of the best can be found at Evolution London and The Bloomsbury Big Top.
4. Indulge in a Festive Christmas Roast
If it’s easier to get your team together for lunch, why not host a Christmas Roast? You can find a private dining room big enough for your entire team and have a lunch with all of the fixings. We’re talking roast Turkey, Yorkshire Puddings, gravy, roast potatoes, and more. The best places to enjoy a Christmas roast are pubs like The Oyster Shed and Old Ship.
5. Head to Hyde Park For Some Ice Skating Followed by Pizza Nearby
There’s no rule that says you can’t move around during your office Christmas party. If you’re lucky enough that your office is in London, you’re in luck! Christmas in the capital is absolutely stunning and there are no shortage of Christmas markets to check out. The most famous of course is Winter Wonderland at Hyde Park. So why not grab the entire team, head there for some mulled wine and ice skating before heading to Pizza Pilgrims Hyde Park to warm up with some delicious pizza?
6. Toast to the Good Times at a Bavarian Beer Hall
There’s something about a Bavarian Christmas! From steins overflowing with beer to mulled wine to giant pretzels and schnitzel, when you step into a beer hall you can feel the cheer in the air. It’s a really fun option if you want to go the less traditional route this Christmas. Our favourite is Munich Cricket Club which has locations in Tower Hill, Victoria, and Canary Wharf.
