Science Museum, Smith Centre
Science Museum, Exhibition Road, London, SW7 2DD -
Up to
200 guests
For more than 150 years, the Science Museum has been educating and entertaining visitors and has occupied its current building since 1928. Just as the progress of science is constantly advancing and expanding, so the Science Museum has expanded, continually updating and adding ever more exciting and dynamic exhibitions and venues. Even now, there is a masterplan to create a system of new galleries opening in 2013 and beyond.
Originally constructed in 1890, the Smith Centre has been elegantly preserved to present four spaces of varying size that suit a wide variety of event purposes.
From small meeting rooms for up to 20 guests, to an ample-sized salon accommodating 200 guests for a canapé reception, the Smith Centre provides versatility throughout.
The Smith Centre is located on the ground floor of the Science Museum and benefits from a fully integrated AV system, enabling a seamless production experience that links to Illuminate.

It is an amazing Museum if you like science. You have a lot of space stuff, clockwork area, machines engines and Medicine stuff. There is always a special exhibition and they are really good. The shops are good to find interesting gifts for science geeks. I do fully recommend it, I honestly go for fun and never disappoint. Even if the entry is free, you need to book in advance the free tickets, if you don't have one you can always book it before you enter (they have qr codes to book at the moment). It is next to the National History Museum and in front of the Victoria and Albert Museum, so you can kind of jump from one Museum to another (even if you really need a lot of time to spend in all of them).

The science museum is completely free, accessible, educational and child friendly. It is huge and such a wonderful experience. I have gone several times and it never stops being interesting. Their changing exhibits are really interesting. If you are in London please please visit. The exhibits are explained so well and it is such an interesting place to visit. The new covid 19 exhibit was really useful for my assignment. The imax was really fun !! We all really enjoyed the insane visuals.

Amazing museum it is so interactive. We were there for only an hour (because they were closing) and it was the best! I would say it is a lot more exciting than the other museums in London

Amazing museum with a ton of activities for kids. Recommended for all parents to bring their kids to get them inspired and amazed. All ages will have fun exploring all aspects of science. Would recommend reserving 2 hours to make a proper tour.

Always a fun day out here. They do great paying exhibitions but the permanent displays are fantastic too. The science fiction exhibition last year is my favourite I have seen of theirs. The show about Chinese clockwork devices was very interesting too.
