The Geffrye Museum explores home and home life from 1600 to the present day through a series of evocative period London living rooms and gardens. The museum's green and peaceful setting and central location make it an ideal venue for receptions, cocktail parties, press launches, photo shoots and meetings.
The Museum of the Home's expansive manicured front lawns are a rare green space so close to the city of London. Peppered with impressively-sized London plane trees and a backdrop of 300 year-old almshouses, this is a truly iconic and unique events venue.

June 2024It's free and doesn't need booking either. You may spend 2 -3 hours in this museum if you read through all the materials with an average speed of 150 words per min. It does give vibes from different centuries. Nice time to spend here. There's a big cafe and bar "kitchen" just in front of the museum,worth trying.

August 2024A beautiful museum with so much to see. For example it shows you how people used to live in them day's and as you walk through the different rooms it becomes more modern. It also has, toilets, a souvenir shop,a restaurant to eat and a garden that tells you about the different flower's. It is well worth the visit and free to get in.

August 2024Great museum all things home. There's plenty to see, wonderful exhibition, building, shop, cafe and even walled garden. Kids and family friendly. A must see for all home aficionados.

August 2024Lots of things to see, well laid out, interesting mix of old and new. All free. Literally next door to Hoxton station. You can see the beautiful garden on your way down from the station. Lots of interesting pieces from photos to entire room layouts. I particularly enjoyed the photos of multiple living rooms and how people have decorated their homes. The Chinese/ vietnamese kitchen is a blast from the past. The level of detail is great - for example the copious amount of elastic bands in an Asian kitchen. I don’t know why, but it’s true. Loved it.
